Another pair of entrepreneurial brothers…

by Tim Goggin on July 3, 2009

Two young brothers, not yet in high school, have developed their very own iPhone application. Despite their young age, their app proved to be quite useful and was downloaded 141 times in ONE DAY.

Owen Voorhees, 11, and Finn Voorhees, 9, came up with a mathematical iPhone application similar to flashcards, but digital. They named their app MathTime and it looks like it’s a hit.

The eldest, Owen, came up with the idea and began writing the code and developing the logistics and technical parts behind the iPhone app, while the younger brother Finn, dealt with the details and appearance of the app. Whatever these two brothers did, it turned out to be quite a success…

…their app hit #13 in the Apple store. This is quite a feat considering there are more than 35,000 apps currently.

We would like to congratulate them, and can’t wait to download the app ourselves and give it a test. I guess we better watch out because we’re no longer are we the only set of entrepreneurial brothers around developing iPhone apps. ;)
