Running From The Law But Not From Facebook…
When I read about this article, I knew I had to write a post about it. Craig Lynch escaped Hollesley Bay prison in England, back in September of 2009. He was sentenced to seven years for aggravated burglary. Since then he has been taunting police and “followers” of him on facebook alike as to his whereabouts.
Throughout the whole journey, Lynch has continued to update his status, with every small minute detail of his day. (And I thought I was addicted to Facebook).
Despite the fact that he has continued to leave tid-bits around for police to nibble at, they still have yet to find him. Some are even calling him a modern day version of “Catch Me If You Can”…
There have been facebook groups dedicated just to him. Some are fans, but others not so impressed with the title of the group “We hate Craig Lynch”- with only a mere 295 members.
His fan page boasts 43,434 members! If you go to check it out, there are literally thousands and thousands of comments from people either rallying to his side or in opposition.
Either way, it’s got a lot of people talking. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

But before you go searching for him on Facebook to see if you can decode his status updates to find out his whereabouts, you should know, it may all be over.
His last post on was “well what can i say fellow friends. The run is nearly over. Sorry some of you had to find out like this. I know some of you might take offence that i never told you personally. But you know me. I Trust No One. It’s the only way to be.” Not to mention, with all of the comments from everyone else, it’s difficult to see back to when the status updates were just from him.
